Grading, Drainage & Concrete Pad in Gallipolis, Ohio
A muddy Gallipolis backyard with water pooling at the garage was regraded and drained, and a concrete pad was poured for a new storage building.
The Challenge
This Gallipolis property had water pooling against the garage and a muddy, uneven backyard that stayed wet for days after rain. On top of fixing the drainage, the homeowner wanted a concrete pad for a new storage building. Planning both together mattered, because a new slab in the wrong spot could make the water problem worse.
What We Did
We regraded the yard to move water away from the garage and other structures, and installed a buried drain line to carry runoff to daylight. With the drainage handled, we excavated the building pad area and compacted a level stone base to support the slab.
Our concrete crew then formed and poured a reinforced slab on that base, ready for the shed to go on. Because one contractor handled both the dirt work and the concrete, the drainage and the slab were planned together, with no finger-pointing over water problems later.

The Result
