Stamped Concrete Patio in Gallipolis, Ohio
A Gallipolis homeowner got the look of stone without the upkeep: a reinforced concrete patio stamped with a stone pattern, colored and sealed.
The Challenge
This Gallipolis homeowner wanted a patio with the look of natural stone, but without the price or the upkeep that comes with laying real stone. Stamped concrete offered a way to get that appearance on a durable slab. Like any concrete work, though, the patio needed solid preparation underneath before the decorative finish could be added.
What We Did
We excavated and graded the patio area, then compacted a stone base to support the slab. Our crew then formed and poured a reinforced concrete slab on that base, giving the patio the strength it needs beneath the decorative surface that would come next.
While the concrete was still workable, our crew stamped it with a stone pattern and added color to give it a natural look. Once it had set, we sealed the surface to protect the finish and bring out the detail in the pattern and color.

The Result
